● This year, medical campaigns were resumed in the Coishco district, which were paralyzed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions imposed by the Government to prevent the spread of the disease.
On June 25th, Hayduk Corporation carried out a free health campaign aimed at the residents of Coishco Viejo, a cove located in the district of Coishco, in the province of Santa, as part of its disease prevention actions in the towns where it operates.
The activity, which took place in the sports hall of the area, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., allowed it to serve 300 residents amongst older adults, adults and children. Likewise, in coordination with EsSalud Coishco, assistance was provided in the specialties of general medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and ophthalmology.
“Through this action, which is part of our commitment to the Coishco Viejo, we seek to contribute to improving the health of the community and promote disease prevention. Our intention is to continue these activities for more citizens of the district,” said Luis Enrrique González Espejo, Plant Administration and SSO representative of the company.
As part of the campaign and with the support of the EsSalud Medical Center, the residents were also vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza; and they were provided with a haircut service, among other health services.
“We congratulate Hayduk for their commitment and we thank them for inviting us and, together, make this event possible to provide the best quality of care to the families of Coishco Viejo. Likewise, to the staff of the EsSalud Coishco Medical Center, with whom we reinforce our objective of improving the health of the population”, said Dr. Yuliana Meza Sevillano, manager of the EsSalud Coishco Medical Center.
It is worth mentioning that, respecting all security protocols, the event was enlivened by a children's show and painted faces for the children that were present.
